To facilitate your departure (check in and security check), take your time when packing. You can take one piece of cabin baggage and can check in your hold baggage.
Cabin baggage
When packing, reduce your cabin baggage to a minimum, to facilitate baggage screening and security controls.
Any object prohibited in the cabin and found during screening while be confiscated and destroyed.
Prohibited in the cabin and in the hold
- Explosives or incendiaries (mine, grenade, firecracker, fire works, detonators, smoke grenade, war ammunition, etc.)
- Devices containing liquid oxygen (e.g. certain medical devices)
- Strike anywhere matches, "blue flame" or "storm" lighters
- Devices using incapacitating gas such as pepper spray or tear gas. - Lighter fuel and recharge cartridges
- Flammable, explosive, corrosive, toxic, oxidising, infectious, radioactive products, etc. (fuel, acetone, paint, oxygenated water, flammable aerosols, acid, caustic soda, products for swimming pools, insecticide, etc.)
Prohibited in the cabin
- Sports equipment (such as bows or crossbows, sling shots, harpoon, baseball or cricket bats, golf clubs, hockey sticks, martial arts equipment, etc. as well as sports gel of more than 100ml).
- Firearms, even if an authorisation is not needed (rifles, revolvers, etc. including weapon spare parts, toy weapons and imitations)
- Sharp or cutting objects (knife, scissors, axe, machete, etc.)
- Work tools (drill, saw, tools with a pointy end or a cutting element of over 6cm in length, blunt tools (hammer, chisel, etc.)
- Ammunition for hunting or sports
- Glass containers with a capacity of over 200ml
Regulated items in the cabin
Attention : the list is not meant to be complete, ask your airline for more information
- Medical, health or therapeutic products (and also baby food and other food, medicine including liquids or aerosols in an amount necessary for duration of the flight, etc.)
- Batteries and rechargeable batteries containing lithium or combustibles, integrated in an electronic device* (computer, cell phone, camera, tools, aeromodelling, etc.) or a medical device* (defibrillator, breathing apparatus, etc.) and spare batteries/rechargeable batteries*.
- Small bottles of oxygen or gas used for medical purposes*
- Strike anywhere matches and certain types of lighters*
- Electric devices producing heat (e.g. high intensity underwater lamps or scuba diving lamps)
- Devices with a gas cartridge (camping, hiking, rescue, etc.)
- Dry ice
- Fluorescent light bulbs, LEDs, halogen lights, etc.
- Packing material for liquid nitrogen

Check in counters
When arriving at the airport, go in the direction of the Departure Zone, to the check in counters.
Handicapped passengers
Handicapped passengers or those who have difficulties to walk should contact their airline who will take care of them right after check in.
Last time to check in
The HLE code on your airplane ticket shows the time, when check in counters will close. In order to check in under best conditions, we recommend to be at the airport at least 1h15 before this time.
To facilitate the passenger and baggage screening and save time, the airport recommends to prepare yourself by following these steps: You will be asked to :
- show your boarding pass to the security personnel
- remove all jackets and coats
- present your cabin baggage and personal belongings and place the following items in a tray:
- metallic objects such as phones, keys, money, jewellery, belts, etc
- big electronic devices such as computers, e-readers, big cameras, DVD players, etc.
- you will be asked to walk through a control terminal
Additional controls might be imposed by the security personnel, according to the European laws.
When booking your flight, check with your airline as their might be restrictions or quotas concerning the number of animals, depending on the flight and the destination.
